It's now possible to control access to your Microsoft Exchange Server infrastructure at a very granular level. A myriad of features exist, some of which restrict access and some of which increase accessibility options. The following list details some of the more common connectivity enhancements that Cheddon Consulting are asked to configure.

Outlook
Web Access . 80% of the graphical user interface has been rewritten
to make OWA over 60% faster than previous versions. Forms Based
Authentication uses time sensitive cookies to increase security
and mitigates against the "cancel/refresh" authentication
re-play issue that previous versions were prone to. We can help customize Outlook
Web Access to suit your needs.
Outlook
Mobile Access . With OMA you can provide simple no frills mailbox
access from a mobile browser.
Microsoft
ActiveSync. Stay up to date using Always Up To Date (AUTD)
notification or Service Pack 2 Direct Push technology
for e-mail to your smart phone on the move.
RPC
over HTTPS. The Windows Server RPC over HTTPS proxy service
can be leveraged by Outlook to allow full native MAPI mailbox access
over the Internet without any requirement to provide a remote access
or VPN solution to your staff.
RPC
Static Port Mapping . With Outlook and Exchange Server it is
possible to statically define the TCP ports RPC allocates for Directory and Information
Store access. In a highly secure configuration it is only necessary
to allow three static TCP ports access to the Exchange server infrastructure,
a dramatically reduction over native RPC.
Client
Selectivity. Access to Microsoft Exchange Server can be
restricted on a user or client version specific basis . You can allow
access only to standard or supported versions of Outlook within your
organisation.
POP3,
IMAP4, NNTP. All available if required but disabled by default
in keeping with the SD3 framework.
